In San Jose, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across California vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 9 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Sunny's Auto Electric at (408) 929-4740; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating stands at 3.3 out of 5 from 84 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

San Jose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Jose follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My family recommended and said they got an oil change for $75. When I pulled up they said $95, then they said $90 then another guy said $80. This seems very suspicious and I didn’t feel comfortable giving business to them if they are going to keep changing the price. I went here on 7/10/2026 I wouldn’t recommend unless the prices are set.

Great local shop. They do tire rotations, oil changes, fix flats, etc. They also have propane for bbq tank refills.

Being going here off and on, seemed pretty legit, prices werent bad and they were available when other shops closed. Recently the tire n wheel guy rotated my wheels and said my back brake pads were gone...that was like 2 months ago. I havent heard a screech or metal on metal sound from the back but went to change them anyways. I took them off and they had half their life left. Tire dude is shady, disc had little wear too. So i sent my nefew there as well to get 2 tires changed...he said $80, he told me and I told him hell naw. Sunny the owner is cool but that tire dude sucks.

EDIT : i contacted BAR and they did an investigation and found that the business was doing shady things. Dont ever sign a blank contract, make them fill it out first and make them show you the problem before you agree to price. After BAR talked to them they agreed to refund me 100%. If you have issues go to the bureau of auto repair online and file a complaint. They investigate right away. ❀️ Filed complaints to BAR and BBB - dont go here. Brought my car in because my brake lights needed trouble shoot. I changed my bulbs and brake light switch earlier that day and had the old ones with me in the car. I thought the reverse lights were the brake lights and still were not working so i brought to the mechanic to see if he can tell me why. The Mechanic said 125 for diagnostic and i said ok. Would not let me observe so that i could learn. Then had me sign a blank agreement for 275$ while verbally explaining that the new brake light switch I installed was bad and he would change it for a new one and that my wiring was bad. For this service he would charge me 275$ total, 150 for the new part and labor. After I agreed he filled in the contract and it says brake light bulb replacement an

This place has the best service. Unlike most car service shops, Sunny's shop is open 7 days a week, which was a huge convenience when I had car troubles over Labor Day weekend. Sunny closely attended to my vehicle the entire time, demonstrating genuine consideration for our situation and ensuring we were quickly taken care of. He was incredibly thorough and detail oriented, making the entire experience smooth and stress free. Next time I need car repairs in San Jose, I’ll definitely be returning to Sunny’s Auto Electric.
